Joining the Social Democratic Party Responding to the Executive Department We will discuss again next week at 15:16 on October 15th.

On the 15th, the Social Democratic Party considered a response as an executive department over the merger with the Constitutional Democratic Party, but it was not agreed and it was decided to discuss again next week.

The Social Democratic Party has been in talks since December last year over the merger with the Constitutional Democratic Party, and wants to discuss and reach a conclusion at the extraordinary party convention to be held in the middle of next month.

Prior to this, the Social Democratic Party held a standing secretariat meeting on the 15th to consider how to respond as an executive department.

Among them, the executives who agreed with the merger commented that "the executive department should clarify the attitude of aiming for the merger and ask for or against it."

In response, Fukushima, the leader of the party, insisted that "local organizations have a deep-rooted opinion against merging, and the executive department should take a neutral position at the party convention."

As a result, no conclusion was reached on the 15th, and we will discuss again next week.
