China News Service, October 15th. According to Korean media reports, after investigation, at least 4 teachers have joined the South Korean "Room N" chat room and received illegal videos.

All 4 have served as a class teacher.

  On the 15th local time, Lee Tan-hee, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea’s National Assembly Education Committee (transliteration), obtained information from the Ministry of Education and the municipal and provincial education offices that 4 teachers in Incheon, Chungcheongnam-do, and Gangwon-do were suspected of joining "Room N", "Doctor's Room", etc., which receive videos of child sexual exploitation, have been notified by the investigating authorities to start an investigation.

  It is reported that these four are a teacher from Chungcheongnam-do No. 1 High School, a teacher from a special school, a teacher from Gangwon No. 1 Elementary School, and a temporary teacher from Incheon No. 1 Elementary School. All four have served as head teachers.

  Among them, 3 full-time teachers were dismissed after the investigation started, and one temporarily hired teacher had resigned before the investigation started.

  Korean media previously exposed a series of cyber crimes, collectively referred to as the "Room N" case.

Someone uploads and shares illegally taken sexual exploitation videos and photos in an encrypted chat room opened on instant messaging software, which can only be viewed by paying members.

The platform can set up private chat, delete information regularly after reading, etc., and support virtual currency transactions.
