The investigation into the death of Carlotta Benusiglio, the designer found hanged in Piazza Napoli in Milan on the night between 30 and 31 May 2016, has been closed after 4 years. The death of the woman, at the time thirty-seven, ex-boyfriend, Marco Venturi, accused not only of murder, but also of stalking and injuries.

In the hypothesis of the prosecutor - to investigate the prosecutor Gianfranco Gallo - the man would have strangled his girlfriend after a fight, and then staged the hanging with Carlotta's scarf.

In the act of closing the investigations we read the endless series of violence to which the woman had been subjected by her boyfriend, including the outburst of jealousy due to which after a fight the woman was kicked and slapped and dragged to earth for the hair.

On the night of her death "for futile reasons and with willful intent, Venturi strangled her by holding a scarf around her neck or his arm," writes the deputy prosecutor.

Contributing to the asphyxiation was also the Eagle syndrome suffered by the designer (a malformation in the neck bones), who died soon after.

Finally, "to achieve impunity" the suspect "simulated hanging by suspending the body from a tree in the park in Piazza Napoli".

Now Venturi will have twenty days to produce briefs or make statements to the prosecutor, at the end of which a preliminary hearing is scheduled to decide whether he will go to trial.
