Death of Victorine: what we know about the suspect confessed

This is a considerable step forward in the investigation into the death of Victorine, 18, whose lifeless body was found in a town in Isère at the end of September.

A 25-year-old man, arrested Tuesday afternoon, allegedly confessed to his participation in the facts in police custody.

On Wednesday morning, he was even transported by investigators to the scene of the young woman's disappearance, near the Villefontaine stadium, for nearly 1h30, the time to verify certain elements of his statements.

800 meters as the crow flies from Victorine

This man is a 25-year-old delivery driver, young father, father of a boy under one year old.

He lived with his wife, not far from Victorine's, 800 meters as the crow flies.

It is therefore not strictly speaking a neighbor.

In any case, it seems that he did not know the young woman or her family.

He would have obviously met her on Saturday evening, near the stadium.

Sandra, a neighbor of the apartment where the suspect lives, on the ground floor of a small housing estate, says she is "in shock" with Europe 1. "He is a very quiet, very nice person. , who said hello to me when he saw me. Never a look or inappropriate gesture ", she testifies.

"He could have come after me, my daughter, my cousin ... Frankly, it's traumatic."

Known for drug dealing

 This man was already known to the police for drugs, theft and contempt.

And if it was the men of the GIGN who proceeded to his arrest yesterday, it is because we feared that he was armed.
