World No. 1 in golf, American Dustin Johnson, tested positive for the coronavirus and had to forfeit the CJ Cup, a PGA Tour event which begins Thursday in Las Vegas, said Tuesday the organizers.

Johnson, 36, was tested for Covid-19 after experiencing symptoms.

He was placed in segregation, added the PGA Tour.

The CJ Cup is normally the South Korean stop on the circuit, but it has been moved to the United States due to measures imposed on South Korea to prevent a resumption of the coronavirus pandemic.
