The Cabinet approves the restructuring of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Space Agency headed by Sarah Al Amiri

The Council of Ministers, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved a decision to reform the board of directors of the Emirates Space Agency headed by Minister of State for Advanced Technology Sarah Bint Yousef Al Amiri.



The decision, which comes in the wake of the recent ministerial formation, reflects the UAE government's keenness to support federal entities and institutions in order to achieve the strategic goals of the country, up to the next fifty years, with renewed thinking and an ambitious future vision that continues the successes and achievements in all fields, especially space sciences because of their special importance as a focus Important and essential within the UAE's direction to achieve global leadership in all fields.



The Board of Directors of the Emirates Space Agency is responsible for developing policies and strategies related to the space sector in the country

And issuing decisions, laws and regulations related to organizing the sector, and the council aims to lead the Emirates Space Agency during the next phase to achieve a set of goals and ambitions to ensure the continuity of the development of the national space sector, by supervising the implementation of the national strategy for the space sector 2030, in a way that contributes to supporting the national sustainable economy and promoting The role of the state on the space map regionally and globally in order to qualify the national cadres specialized in this field, especially after the great successes it achieved in a short period that made it the newest member in the club of space explorers.



The council includes in its membership a group of Emirati expertise and competencies from various fields related to space science, namely: Khaled Abdullah Al-Buainain Al-Mazroui, Hamad Obaid Al-Mansouri, Youssef Hamad Al-Shaibani, Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Bannai, Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al-Jabri, Salem Butti Al-Qubaisi, Masoud Muhammad Mahmoud, and Engineer Ali Ibrahim Al-Nuaimi.
