Entrusted to an association

The collected animal was handed over to the CHENE association (Center for accommodation and study on nature and the environment) in Allouville-Bellefosse.

The association manages a conservation center which hosts many wild animals.

The latter are cared for there before being returned to their natural state.

From time to time, the gendarmes intervene to rescue animals in difficulty.

In February 2016, for example, soldiers from Pornic (Loire-Atlantique) had come to the aid of a young seal trapped in the sand in Saint-Brévin.

Two years ago, gendarmes and firefighters from Haute-Garonne had rescued a boar who had fallen into the empty swimming pool of an individual.
