The Left Party's party leader Jonas Sjöstedt was pressured by several other party leaders to let him know if he was serious about arousing distrust in the government.

- I want to give the government the chance for a while longer, the chance to do the right thing, to refrain from legislating, Sjöstedt said during tonight's party leader debate when the question of jobs was debated.

Notice of invalidation of dismissals

The Moderates 'party leader Ulf Kristersson, the KD leader Ebba Busch and the Sweden Democrats' Jimmie Åkesson believe that the Left Party is engaged in empty threats to overthrow the government.

SVT's political reporter Elisabeth Marmorstein believes that the threat of a distrust was averted, at least temporarily.

She also highlights a new message regarding the unions' ability to annul redundancies in companies with up to 15 employees.

- Here Stefan Löven said that it will not become a reality and that he wants to change it, she says after the debate.

"Gets pissed off"

The debate also heated up when the issue of crime was addressed.

SD leader Jimmie Åkesson linked crime to increased immigration and believes that both right-wing and left-wing governments have failed with integration.

- You can only solve this by building cohesion, making demands on people who come here and saying that if you want to live in our country, you have to adapt to how we live.

You should not commit crimes, because if you do, you will go out, he says.

The Green Party's Per Bolund replied:

- I get genuinely pissed when I hear Jimmie Åkesson, he accuses everyone who has an immigrant background of being on the verge of becoming a criminal.

"The elderly lack a voice"

Elderly care was also one of the evening's topics of debate.

Here, the Liberals 'Nyamko Sabuni and the Christian Democrats' Ebba Busch debated against each other.

Sabuni believes that Swedish care for the elderly must be developed.

Among other things, she wants the elderly to be able to receive care for the elderly in their own language if they do not speak Swedish and wants to see more doctors in the homes for the elderly.

According to Ebba Busch, there is a lack of major investments in the January parties' budgets for the elderly.

She also points out that a large part of the explanation for why the elderly were hit so hard by the corona in the spring is about values.

- The elderly lack a voice and a representative at the government table.
