"A meeting of the IPA observer group took place, where we signed a conclusion in which we noted that the presidential elections in Tajikistan were held at a high organizational level," TASS quotes the coordinator of the IPA CIS observer group, Russian Senator Oleg Melnichenko.
He clarified that the presidential elections were held "in accordance with the requirements of national legislation and international standards in holding such events."
Presidential elections in Tajikistan ended earlier, and the results will be announced on Monday, October 12.
According to the CEC, voter turnout exceeded 70%.
