It was difficult for him to justify personal consumption.

On September 13, customs officers from Frouzins (Haute-Garonne) intercepted a man traveling on the A62, north of Toulouse, driving a van.

And the least we can say is that this inhabitant of Tours who had just made a little trip to Andorra had his doors full.

Officials found no less than 453 cartons of cigarettes, the price of which in France is estimated at 44,000 euros, and more than 800 euros in cash.

Jailed, this 30-year-old man was tried Thursday by the Toulouse Criminal Court.

He was sentenced to ten months in prison which he will have to perform under an electronic bracelet, as well as a fine of 10,800 euros.

The investigation revealed that his phone had blocked 46 times since last January in the Pyrenees, outside the confinement period.

He denied being a repeat offender and was sentenced only for this seizure in September.
