Since the pandemic started, Karlskrona has accounted for the majority of cases in Blekinge.
More than half of those found infected in the county have been from Karlskrona.
But recently something has happened - now you see how the corona falls are starting to level out more and more in the county's municipalities.
The spread of infection is now increasing in the western part of Blekinge, in all municipalities except Olofström.
- There is no single explanation for this.
There are no local outbreaks or any single event that we can link to the increased spread.
It is very much what we feared that you spend more time indoors now that it is autumn, that you train more and return to your usual routines at work, says infection control doctor Bengt Wittesjö.
- It easily becomes a spread in a population that has a high susceptibility.
Earlier during the pandemic, there have been quite a few cases in the four other municipalities apart from Karlskrona.
Big change in recent weeks
There has been a large increase in the number of corona falls in Blekinge recently.
An increase that worries the infection control doctor.
- There has been a fairly large change in recent weeks.
From a minimum of a couple of three cases per week in August, to now an average of just over ten cases per day.
Of course I'm worried, it would be weird otherwise.
Especially if it gets a foothold in the older fragile risk group again, then it is of course a huge problem.
