Twenty people reported, three arrested red-handed for detention and disclosure of child pornography and incitement to pedophile practices.
Numerous foreigners reported to the authorities of the country of residence.
The operation called "Checkmate" of the Police, coordinated by the Catania District Prosecutor's Office, involves many Italian cities and regions.
Searches and seizures in Bolzano, Brescia, Catania, Chieti, Como, Lecco, Milan, Naples, Parma, Pisa, Rome, Savona, Sassari, Turin, Treviso and Varese as well as in other foreign cities.
The agents worked undercover.
The suspects, through anonymous systems such as Tor and Vpn and encrypted messaging services, exchanged photos and videos of a child pornography nature, classified according to criteria of age, sex and ethnicity, with gruesome contents of child abuse, including infants, some of the as victims of sadistic practices.
On several occasions they exchanged stories of their sexual experiences with minors.
In these long and delicate investigations, the agents of the Postal Police of Catania and the National Center for the fight against online pedophilia (Cnaipic) of Rome managed to trace some places where the abuses took place, managing to identify at least three victims.
