Asvel Lyon-Villeurbanne announced on Saturday that coach TJ Parker and two players had tested positive for Covid-19 but that the French basketball championship match in Cholet, scheduled for Sunday (3 p.m.) was maintained.

"The rest of the group have taken the direction of Cholet as planned," said the statement from the club which will then host, for its home debut in the Euroleague on Tuesday at Astroballe, Panathinaikos Athens, then Thursday Red Star Belgrade.

According to protocol, TJ Parker and the two positive players will be in solitary confinement for a week and will not be present for these next two meetings.

On Friday, international strong-winger Guerschon Yabusele made his comeback against Olimpia Milan in the Euroleague (87-73 defeat) after being put in isolation due to a positive coronavirus test reported on 22 September, and missed the first four matches of the season of the club villeurbannais.
