The job of a police officer sometimes holds surprises.

On the night of Monday to Tuesday, a teenager was arrested in the town of Saint-Barthélémy d'Anjou, near Angers, after having abandoned a vehicle and fled when he saw the presence of the anti-crime brigade.

So far nothing very surprising.

Except that the officials discovered inside the vehicle an unexpected loot: dozens of boxes filled with ... crackers and chocolates, reports

.

The stock had been stolen from carriers parked near the Beaujoire exhibition center.

The investigation will reveal that the arrested minor is suspected of being involved in other burglaries in the Angevin suburbs.

In particular a lamb and two sheep recently stolen from the Simone-Veil vocational school in Angers.

Two other people had also fled from the vehicle abandoned in Saint-Barthélémy d'Anjou during the night of Monday to Tuesday.

They were identified later.
