After that, it was discovered that the alarms work, but there is a delay before the alarms reach Luleå municipality's security alarm, home service and night patrol.
Luleå municipality takes what happened very seriously and has appointed measures during the night.
- We have staffed up during the night to be able to do extra supervision, the security alarm and the night patrol have extra preparedness during the night, says Anna-Greta Engström, area manager.
1,600 people were affected
Within Luleå municipality, approximately 1,600 people have security alarms, of which approximately 1,000 have home care.
Luleå's home care service has received information and reviews needs and measures within each home care service area.
- For safety's sake, we also appeal to relatives who have relatives with security alarms to try to contact their relatives to see that they are well, says Anna-Greta Engström, area manager.
