Ten people have been injured in Myanmar’s Yangdong gas pipeline explosion

  At around 2:59 am local time on October 9th, a natural gas pipeline in Yangdong Township, Ayeyarwady Province, Myanmar, exploded and caused a fire, resulting in ten people being injured.

  According to Miao Mindu, director of the Yangdong Fire Department, the natural gas pipeline that exploded connected Yangdong Town and Gangkitang Town. The explosion occurred near the road from Yangon to Pathein.

After the explosion, the resulting fire burned a residential house and injured ten people.

The fire lasted for more than an hour and has now been extinguished.
