09 October 2020 "We are convinced that the school is a safer and more protected place than others", said the Minister of the School, Lucia Azzolina, during the dissemination of data on the infections that occurred in the school environment, collected through the monitoring carried out with the managers school and compared with the Higher Institute of Health.

"Because at school there are precise rules that students are following in an orderly manner, thanks also to the commitment of all the school staff", continued the minister.

"This is confirmed by the fact that the 'school outbreaks' classified by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità are numerically insignificant".

Azzolina added that "there are and will be cases of virus positivity, it is inevitable, but the measures we have introduced allow us to identify them promptly, including asymptomatic cases that otherwise could get out of control. Now - he continued - we must do the utmost effort to have rapid tests and limit quarantines, thus limiting inconvenience to families and guaranteeing all schools a good organization of teaching. It remains essential to maintain responsible behavior. For this reason I renew my appeal to prudence not only internally, but even and especially outside of school ".
