The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship stated that, as of next Monday, that is, after 48 hours, it will begin imposing delay fines on holders of expired ID cards, customers who benefit from the extension period for identity renewal.

She explained that the procedure applies to the beneficiaries of the deadline that you announced last July, in light of the precautionary measures, during the "Covid-19" pandemic, according to which, during the period from the beginning of March until the 11th of last July, it granted a period of three months.

She called on the beneficiaries of the grace period to initiate the renewal of their cards before the deadline expires, noting that the application of delay fines will take place from October 12th.

The authority had announced that it would grant residents a three-month period (which began on July 12) to regularize their status and renew their residency, if it expired after the first of last March, without counting any fines until the deadline expires.

It also granted citizens and GCC citizens a three-month period to renew their identity cards, which expired after the first of last March, without imposing any fines.

The authority stressed the importance of adhering to the pre-examination procedures before arriving to the state, in order to enable the return of this group to the state, in a manner that achieves the integration of the efforts made with the various sectors of the state and its vital institutions, in conjunction with the readiness of the joint work mechanisms regarding the preventive and precautionary measures followed to confront “Covid 19 ».

The authority had extended the period of exemption for "violators of the Law on Entry and Residence of Foreigners", who benefit from the honor of His Highness the President of the State, for a further period of three months (starting from August 18 to next November 17), whenever the violation occurred before the first of last March, and the decision includes exempting them from Fines for them.

The authority stated that the reward includes violators of the Law on Entry and Residence of Foreigners, as the restrictions listed against them will be paid without stamping the deprivation, on the condition that they leave the country.
