The accident occurred at the beginning of the year on road 24 in Sjöalt, south of Våxtorp.

The man in his 60s had at least one per mille in his blood when he drove a sports car with shiny rear tires, on a well-trafficked road.

A 15-year-old boy was also in the car and according to him, the driver pressed the "plate in the carpet" on several occasions and got high speed on the car.

The driver eventually lost control of the car, which skidded and overturned in a ditch.

The boy suffered neck injuries

The boy managed to crawl out of the upside-down car himself.

He had been wearing a seatbelt and a few days after the accident had a sore neck and sought medical attention.

He got better with time, but for a while he could not move as usual.

After the accident, he also had difficulty sleeping and difficulty getting into a car.

One per mille in the blood

The driver did not use a seat belt and was pinned twice in the car.

He was helped out by the rescue service and was taken by ambulance to hospital.

There, the blood tests could show that he had at least one per mille of alcohol in his blood.

The man himself claims that he only drank a beer and a glass of wine before the drive.

Halmstad District Court sentences him to aggravated drunk driving and causing bodily injury.
