The proposal means that all units within the region receive SEK 500 per employee.

It can be staff in healthcare, cleaning and transport.

The money will go to a joint well-being-creating activity within the own working group.

Thanks to the staff

With the SEK 500, the Regional Board would like to draw attention to and thank all the region's employees for their work during the spring and summer.

The proposal was discussed in the region's finance committee on Monday and a decision will be made on 14 October.

The care association is critical

The care association thinks that the money should be directed directly to the staff who worked with covid patients.

- I want you to receive full compensation if you have been on sick leave because you have worked with corona patients and that you should receive a bonus or salary supplement of SEK 5,000 per month or SEK 500 per day then because you have done this tough, work-intensive work, says Åsa Holgersson, chairman of Vårdförbundet Västernorrland.

3.1 million

In total, the reward to employees will cost SEK 3.1 million.

Money that is proposed to be removed from the appropriation for unforeseen funds in the 2020 budget.
