Sörmland is one of Sweden's richest game counties and most wildlife accidents occur here in relation to traffic volume in Sweden, according to the police.

- It has increased significantly over ten years, from almost 3,000 to 4,200 now in 2019, says Jan Olevall, county responsible police for the wildlife accident organization.

During the autumn, there is an increased risk of encountering wildlife in traffic, and the police are now warning together with NVR about the risks of wildlife accidents.

- It is good if you slow down and pay attention at dawn and dusk.

If a wildlife accident occurs, according to law, you must call 112 and notify the police and then you must mark the location, says Jan Olevall.
