The government is due to present to the Council of Ministers on December 9 a bill aimed at enabling the fight against separatism.

This is what Emmanuel Macron announced last Friday at Les Mureaux.

But it seems that the word separatism will not appear in the title of this law.

At this point, it is not clear what the law will be called.

Even if the objective is clear.

Emmanuel Macron explained, it is about fighting against Islamist separatism.

But to hear Gérald Darmanin this October 6 on Radio Classique, the use of this word in the title of the law is not envisaged: “

It will undoubtedly not be his name since the President of the Republic mentioned in his speech something that would resemble a bill strengthening secularism and Republican principles

”.

A precaution to avoid amalgamation or an evasion in the face of the obstacle ... This is what fears Marine Le Pen who spoke after meeting the Minister of the Interior who is carrying out consultations on the bill: “

We have to be able to say what we are fighting against.

If we do not know how to designate the enemy then we do not fight him.

So the President of the Republic had an intuition.

He was given the courage to speak about Islamism.

It's not Verdun either!

It would be a shame if after a few hours it was already backing up!

"

The word

separatism

continues to be debated.

Sometimes used in the plural, others in the singular, it had been preferred by Emmanuel Macron to that of communitarianism.

It remains to be seen how it will be used in drafting the law.
