Lyon defender Léo Dubois, tested positive for Covid-19, was "placed in solitary confinement" at the end of the Blues' training in which he took part on Tuesday evening at Clairefontaine and will miss the October rally, announced the French Football Federation.

The Lyonnais will not play Wednesday against Ukraine in a friendly and will be replaced digitally for the remainder of the camp by Ferland Mendy, the defender of Real Madrid.

"His Covid-19 test carried out by UEFA on Tuesday morning was found to be positive, Léo Dubois was placed in solitary confinement, after receiving the results, at the end of training, this Tuesday evening" , said the FFF.

"Like the entire delegation, Léo Dubois had undergone a test prior to the rally. The result was negative," she added.

Ferland Mendy will join the squad for the League of Nations meetings against Portugal on Sunday in Saint-Denis and Croatia on October 14, it was said.

During the September rally, OM goalkeeper Steve Mandanda had experienced such a mishap.
