North Korea held a meeting of the Political Bureau yesterday (on the 5th) and gave promotions to key figures in the military.

These are promotions such as listing (three stars) and chief (four stars), but the most notable is the enemies' greetings.

At this meeting, Lee Byeong-cheol, Vice-Chairman of the Party Central Military Commission, and Park Jeong-cheon Chief of Staff, were promoted to marshal.

The ranks of the North Korean military are a little different from ours.

In the case of general, unlike our military class, which consists of brigadier generals, minor generals, lieutenant generals, and captains, North Korea has a system of minor generals (one star), lieutenant generals (two stars), listings (three stars), and captains (four stars).

And above the captain is the rank called rank, and above it is the rank of enemies.

Even in the U.S. military, which is the world's strongest army, few people have the rank of marshal, but the North Korean military often has people who have the rank of marshal.

First of all, the three generations of Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-il, and Kim Jong-un had the rank of enemies.

Since they were not soldiers, they were given the title of Marshal of the Republic, but Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il were even given the title of Dae-Marshal.

In addition to the Kim family, there have been 5 people who have received the title of Marshal: Oh Jin-woo, Choi Kwang, Lee Eul-seol, Kim Young-chun, and Hyun Chul-hae.

Of these, four people died except for Hyeon Chul-hae (born in 1934), and Hyeon-cheol-hae is believed to be alive because there was no official announcement of death by North Korea.

It may be said that the rank of marshal is more common than other countries, but considering that only 5 people have been awarded the title of marshal so far, even in North Korea, not everyone can have the rank of marshal.

It can be seen as a person who is given weight in the military.

● Marshal Lee Byeong-cheol continues high-speed promotion

By the way, Lee Byung-cheol, who won the rank of enemy this time, is a person who has been repeatedly promoted at high speed.

Lee Byung-cheol, a former Air Force commander, succeeded as a member of the Party's Political Bureau in December of last year, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Party, and the head of the military industry, followed by a member of the State Affairs Committee in April of this year, and vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission in May this year. We even entered the executive committee.

Political Bureau Standing Committee members are the highest authority in North Korea, with only five members, including Chairman Kim Jong-un, Choi Ryong-hae, Park Bong-ju, and Kim Deok-hoon.

In addition, Lee Byung-cheol received the rank of Marshal, which only five people had in the history of the North Korean military, except for the Kim Il-sung family.

As it emerges as the core of North Korean power, it is being favored by Kim Jong-un.

Why is Lee Byung-cheol getting favored by such a high-speed promotion?

This is because he has been in charge of nuclear and missile development since his days as the first vice-president of the Ministry of Military and Industrial Affairs, leading the development of North Korea's strategic weapons.

In a report to the National Intelligence Service in August, the National Intelligence Service said that Chairman Kim Jong-un is in charge of'commissioning control' and that Lee Byeong-cheol is in charge of developing strategic weapons.

● Kim Jong-un, "Repay with business results"

Chairman Kim Jong-un delivered a joint decision of the Party Central Committee, Party Central Military Committee, and State Affairs Committee to award the title of Marshal Lee Byeong-cheol at a meeting of the Political Bureau yesterday, saying, "I hope you will repay you with high business performance." Revealed.

It means to further accelerate the development of strategic weapons.

Many people are expecting a new ICBM to appear at the 75th anniversary of the North Korean Labor Party's founding anniversary on the 10th.

If North Korea has developed a new ICBM, test launch and actual deployment will naturally follow.

However, it seems that North Korea is struggling over the situation of the US presidential election as to when to launch the test.

This is because if Trump is re-elected after firing the ICBM, he will have to endure Trump's fury.

Continues to Develop Strategic Weapons No matter How Difficult

North Korea decided to '80-day battle' by the end of the year at the Political Bureau meeting.

It is a plan to mobilize efforts again ahead of the 8th Party Congress early next year.

It is also a disproving that the only thing to believe is the labor force in a situation where it is difficult to expect external assistance due to UN sanctions and border blocking due to coronavirus.

Despite these difficulties, promoting Lee Byeong-cheol, the leading player in strategic weapon development to Marshal, is also a determination not to give up nuclear and missile development, no matter how difficult it is.

We don't know when there will be additional strategic weapons provocations from North Korea, whether ICBM or SLBM, but it seems certain that North Korea's development of strategic weapons will continue.
