Juventus Turin offered Fiorentina Italian international winger Federico Chiesa on Monday, putting up to 60 million euros on the table as part of a paying loan followed by a future purchase.

Chiesa will first be loaned for two years by Fiorentina, before being formally bought by Juventus, under a purchase obligation as soon as certain objectives are fulfilled or a purchase option if these objectives do not. are not reached, detailed Juventus in a statement.

The transaction as a whole will amount to a total of up to 60 million euros: 10 million euros for the two loan seasons and 40 million euros for the purchase, to which may be added up to 10 million euros. bonus, according to this release.

Fiorentina had previously announced a two-year "paying loan" with an obligation to purchase.

The Italian media announced the agreement between Fiorentina and Juve during the day and published photos of the medical visit of the Italian international (19 caps) in Florence.

The player was then expected by the Italian coach to join the selection gathered in the Tuscan city for the three upcoming international matches.

Juventus had long had their sights set on the quick winger.

Last year, contacts had already been made before the management of Fiorentina declared his player untransferable.

The transfer could not be unlocked in recent days with several departures from Juve to reduce the wage bill: Daniele Rugani in Rennes, Mattia de Sciglio in Lyon and Douglas Costa in Bayern Munich.

Chiesa will receive an annual salary of 5 million euros, according to the Italian press.

Since his Serie A debut at the age of 18, in August 2016 (precisely in Turin, against Juve), he has already collected 137 matches in the Italian 1st division.

The player, who had inherited the armband of Fiorentina on Friday for what will have been his last match, seems to respond perfectly to the rejuvenation project in which Juventus has embarked, after the departures of the thirty-something Gonzalo Higuain, Blaise Matuidi, Miralem Pjanic .

The club, which had the highest average age in Serie A last season, recruited in exchange Arthur (24), Dejan Kulusevski (20), Weston McKennie (22) and Alvaro Morata (27) ).

There remains one difficulty for coach Andrea Pirlo: to make a place for him in a rich offensive sector, alongside Ronaldo, Dybala, Morata and Kulusevski.

This transfer to the reigning Italian champion, in search of a 10th consecutive scudetto this season, should allow him to reach a new level within a year of Euro-2021, in particular by discovering the Champions League .
