Naka conflict: the international community pays close attention to the situation in Naka and expresses its position

  On October 5, local time, Azerbaijani President Aliyev said in an interview with Turkish media TRT Haber that Russia is responsible and restrained in its position on the situation in Naqqa. Turkey should participate in the process of resolving the Naqqa conflict, aiming to achieve a ceasefire and conflict mediation. The side should ensure that the Armenian armed forces withdraw from the Naka area.

He also emphasized that the French president's statement on the situation in Naqqa is unacceptable, and France seems to be withdrawing from the Nakka reconciliation process.

Earlier, French President Macron pointed out that intelligence showed that 300 Syrian militants were sent to Azerbaijan through the Turkish city of Gaziantep to participate in operations in the Naka region.

The Turkish government denied the news.

  In a telephone conversation with Armenian President Sarki, Israeli President Rivlin emphasized that the cooperative relationship between Israel and Azerbaijan is not aimed at a third country and Israel is willing to provide humanitarian assistance to Armenia.

Because of Israel’s arms sales to Azerbaijan, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Israeli ambassador to Armenia to protest.

  Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Khatibzad said that Iran is closely following the development of the Naka region bordering northeast Iran and will submit to Azerbaijan and Armenia the specific plan that Iran has formulated to prevent the escalation of the conflict. The main content includes the recognition of Azerbaijan. Territorial integrity, withdrawal and resumption of negotiations, etc.

With the escalation of the current round of Nakah conflict, Iran said that many artillery shells have fallen into Iranian territory.

On October 1, five mortar shells fired from the Naka area fell into Iranian territory, wounding a 6-year-old Iranian child.

  The Russian President’s Press Secretary Peskov said that the Naka conflict continues and the situation is still unclear.

There is no lack of working contacts between Russia, Azerbaijan and Turkey on the situation in Naqqa, and normal high-level dialogues are maintained.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it has maintained close contact with Iran and Turkey regarding the Naqqa conflict.
