Nearly 600 American cinemas and nearly 130 British cinemas will have to suspend their activity from this Thursday, October 8.
A suspension which means work stoppage for some 45,000 Cineworld employees in the two countries.
The operator specifies that the markets of American cinemas remain closed, in particular in New York.
In the absence of visibility on the development of the pandemic, the studios prefer to postpone the planned releases.
This is the case with the last installment of James Bond.

This closing of theaters is another hard blow for Cineworld.
His financial health was already weakened by months of confinement, then by new restrictions.

Cineworld intends to rebalance its results thanks to its cinemas in countries of Eastern Europe, where the restrictions against the coronavirus are less severe than elsewhere.
