"Bayramov informed Bigan about the latest escalation in the region," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
It is noted that Bigan expressed concern about the growing tension in the region.
The Undersecretary of State also stressed the importance of dialogue.
Earlier, the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of Russia, the United States and France, Sergei Lavrov, Mike Pompeo and Jean-Yves Le Drian, in a joint statement called for an immediate ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.
