"Identity and Nationality" resumes issuing support workers' permits

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, in coordination with the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, has announced the resumption of permitting the issuance of new visas for the assistive workers category, in addition to the start of issuing entry permits to work for government and semi-government agencies and vital facilities in the country, through the main channels of the authority, and taking all requirements and procedures Precautionary and preventive measures at the country's ports, ending the pre-inspection procedure before arrival, and the employer or institution receiving and quarantining arrivals for a period of 14 days, in coordination with the concerned authorities.

She stated that this step comes within the framework of strengthening the state's efforts to support recovery plans and support the wheel of growth, in conjunction with enabling the work system based on achieving a vital balance between preventive measures and measures on the one hand, and the return of the tourism and economic climate and various developmental aspects on the other hand.

The authority affirmed that all nationalities will continue to allow entry to holders of valid residence permits from the category of assistive workers, including holders of valid residence permits, and workers for government and semi-government agencies and vital establishments in the category of employment for all nationalities, provided that the responsible party submits the application via the authority's website «ICA. gov.ae ».

And she stressed the importance of adhering to the pre-examination procedures before arriving in the country, with the aim of enabling this group to return to the state in a manner that achieves the integration of efforts made with the various sectors of the state and its vital institutions, in conjunction with the readiness of the joint work mechanisms in the matter of preventive and precautionary measures taken to confront “Covid” 19 ».
