  On September 27, Abdullah II announced the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the Senate of the National Assembly.

According to the Jordanian Constitution, the cabinet should resign within one week of the king’s order to dissolve the House of Representatives.

According to a statement issued by the Independent Electoral Commission of Jordan, elections for the new parliament are scheduled to be held on November 10.
