"We have received factual data on the collection of information by foreign citizens about military equipment belonging to the Armenian Armed Forces, the transportation of weapons, the locations of military units, as well as about those mobilized under martial law and their number," the NSS said in a statement.

The suspects were detained on October 2.

Currently, "large-scale operational-search activities" are being carried out to identify the remaining persons involved and prosecute them.

On October 2, the military units of Armenia were brought to a state of full combat readiness.

On September 27, the government of Armenia introduced martial law in the country and announced a general mobilization of the reserve in connection with the aggravation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Later, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also signed a decree on the introduction of martial law in the republic.
