The Transportation Security Department of the Criminal Security Sector in Abu Dhabi Police implemented an event to educate the public about the use of legal transportation means, in several languages, and the use of sign languages, in order to ensure that the message is conveyed to all segments of society.
The Director of Transportation Security Department at Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Mubarak Awad bin Mahiroum, explained that the illegal transportation of passengers in private vehicles is an uncivilized phenomenon, which has social, economic and security impacts, and entails legal violations.
He stressed Abu Dhabi Police's keenness to spread awareness and prevention by promoting positive concepts in society, and highlighting the most important undesirable phenomena and behaviors, with the help of community institutions.
He pointed out that raising public awareness of the commitment to licensed transportation means, in seven languages, including Arabic, English and Urdu.
