The Blues will play in front of the public for the first time in eleven months, Wednesday against Ukraine in a friendly at the Stade de France, subject to a maximum capacity of 1,000 seats, the French Federation (FFF) announced on Saturday.

"The administrative authorities have set a maximum gauge of 1,000 places (excluding professionals accredited for the organization of the match) for France-Ukraine," said the body.

The clash between the Blues and Portugal, scheduled for Sunday in the Dionysian enclosure as part of the League of Nations, "should take place in the same conditions of measurement and reception of the public, subject to corrective measures from authorities, "said the FFF.

Didier Deschamps' players made their comeback behind closed doors, against Sweden in Solna (1-0) on September 5 and Croatia (4-2) in Saint-Denis three days later.

Their last appearance in front of spectators dates back to November 17, 2019, in Albania (2-0).

The principle of the 1,000-person gauge is applied in the eleven French metropolises that have entered a heightened alert zone, in the face of the new coronavirus pandemic.

This is particularly the case in Paris and its inner suburbs.

It is under these conditions that PSG received Angers on Friday (6-1) at the Parc des Princes.

Since Strasbourg is not affected by these measures, the Espoirs match against Liechtenstein, counting for the qualifications of Euro-2021, is subject to a gauge of 5,000 places, said the FFF.

The return of the public was also favored by the announcement, Thursday, of UEFA to authorize within a limit of 30% of the capacities of the stadium, and at the discretion of the local authorities, the presence of spectators for the competitions it organized.
