China News Service, Nur Sultan, October 2 (Reporter Wen Longjie) According to a report on the website of Kazakhstan's financial weekly "Italic" on October 1, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development once again lowered its 2020 GDP. The forecast for the decline in GDP is adjusted from 3% to 4%; the forecast for GDP growth in 2021 is lowered from 5.5% to 3%.

In May of this year, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development issued a report on Kazakhstan's macroeconomic development for the next two years.

This data adjustment is mainly based on the global trend of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, and the duration of the epidemic in various countries is significantly longer than previously expected by international financial institutions.

The picture shows the new crown pneumonia detection point in Kazakhstan.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development report pointed out that personal consumption growth and rising international oil prices will be the main basis for Kazakhstan's economic recovery in 2021, but the new crown pneumonia epidemic will still be the main variable affecting the economy.

The bank also predicts that the economies of Central Asia will decline by 1.2% this year, and it is expected to reach 5.8% growth in 2021.

According to official data released by the government of Kazakhstan, from January to August this year, the country's GDP fell by 3%.

In mid-September, the Asian Development Bank re-adjusted its 2020 economic forecast for Kazakhstan, from a 1.2% decline to a 3.2% decline.

A new crown pneumonia outbreak occurred in Kazakhstan in March.

According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, as of October 2, Kazakhstan has accumulated more than 141,000 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia and pneumonia cases with symptoms of new coronary pneumonia but negative laboratory virus test results.

Kazakhstan has added 325 new cases of the aforementioned "two pneumonias" in the past 24 hours.

At present, there are still more than 3,000 patients receiving treatment in all of Kazakhstan.

The situation of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Kazakhstan has stabilized, and prevention of a possible second wave of epidemics has become the focus of current anti-epidemic work.

According to the decision made by the Kazakhstan government work conference on September 30, measures such as the construction of shelter hospitals, drug storage and distribution, improvement of laboratory testing capabilities, re-limitation and reduction of international flights must be implemented in October.
