The 44-year-old man himself contacted the police one day at the end of January this year and then dug up that he had accidentally shot his wife to death in the couple's common home.

The 44-year-old who had been commissioned as an elected S politician in his former home municipality in Norrbotten has always denied any wrongdoing and believes that the shot was fired by mistake.

"The rifle happened to go off"

In the past, the man has told that he felt bad and had suicidal thoughts and that it was to take his own life that he developed the firearm.

He was in the couple's bedroom and his wife was sleeping.

Then he is unsure of what happened but understood that he shot his wife.

He believes it was a dangerous shot that killed her.

District Attorney Jens Göransson paid no attention to the man's story but charged him with the murder of his wife.
