Tested negative for Covid-19, the Democratic candidate for the White House Joe Biden resumed his campaign on Friday, October 2 after the shocking announcement that Donald Trump had the new coronavirus, recalling the importance of the precautionary measures which are sometimes mocked his Republican rival.

After sending his wishes for a “
speedy recovery
” and his “
prayers
” to Donald and Melania Trump, the president's rival in the presidential election, Joe Biden, who tested negative, hit the nail on the head.

I hope this serves as a reminder
: wear a mask, maintain physical distancing, and wash your hands,
" he tweeted, in a thinly veiled criticism of the president's attitude.
Shortly after the announcement of his negative test, the Democratic candidate's team also announced that he was maintaining a planned campaign trip to Michigan.
The former vice-president of Barack Obama must indeed go to Grand Rapids, in this Midwestern state that Donald Trump won in 2016.
Change of course for the Trump campaign
The announcement of Donald Trump's positive coronavirus test forced his team to adapt the format of his presidential campaign.
“
All previously announced campaign events involving the president's participation are currently being turned into virtual events or are being temporarily postponed,
” campaign official Bill Stepien wrote in a statement.
He also said that the events involving the president's family were also "
temporarily postponed
", while Vice-President Mike Pence, tested negative for Covid-19 on Friday, October 2 in the morning, would continue to campaign for him.
All other events will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
