Internet users have chosen.
Notre-Dame de Strasbourg elected Wednesday evening "most beautiful cathedral in France".
With 23,336 votes, the Alsatian building is ahead of its almost neighbor Metz (22,909) by 427 votes.
This contest, which lasted a month, was organized on the Facebook page of “Patriotvisor”, “a platform which lists, with humor, French heritage and gastronomy”.
This is not the first time that the Strasbourg cathedral has been acclaimed.
Last year, the monument to more than 4 million visitors per year won a poll on another Facebook page, beating its competitor Reims in the final.
