There has been a ban on visiting old people's homes since March, but on Thursday 1 October the ban will be lifted.

It has previously been possible to meet outdoors, but now it is okay to also go in to your relative who lives in a nursing home.

But this is surrounded by routines, all to prevent the spread of covid infection.

"Must be completely healthy"

Eva-Karin Stenberg believes that it has been tough for the elderly to sit in isolation, and that you now have to take the routines seriously.

- We have set up routines which, among other things, mean that you as a relative must book an appointment, you must be completely healthy during a visit and you must disinfect your hands when you arrive at the accommodation.

Then it is perhaps most important that you keep your distance, and not kiss and hug and so on, she says.
