Lavrov's address to the forum participants on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Treaty on the Final Settlement with regard to Germany was published on the Foreign Ministry's website.
“Unfortunately, as a result of a short-sighted policy of NATO-centricity and geopolitical games in the search for unilateral advantages, today Europe is experiencing a serious crisis of confidence, and the large-scale multifaceted potential of Russian-German cooperation remains unrealized,” the Russian Foreign Minister said.
Earlier, Lavrov expressed the opinion that the European Union sacrifices its geoeconomic and strategic interests to please the United States.
