Coach Didier Deschamps again summoned 17-year-old Rennais Eduardo Camavinga on Thursday for the October matches that the Blues will also play with Paul Pogba, the Manchester United midfielder absent from the selection since June 2019 on a forfeit.

The 27-year-old world champion, absent at the last minute in September after testing positive for Covid-19, will return to the selection against Ukraine in a friendly on October 7 in Saint-Denis, then against Portugal at home and the Croatia in Zagreb, October 11 and 14 in the League of Nations.

His absence had offered Camavinga a place last month among the 23 selected.

The midfielder had taken advantage of it with a successful performance of around thirty minutes against Croatia (4-2) on September 8.

Last month, the coach had been confronted with the packages of Pogba and Houssem Aouar before the start of the rally, during which OM goalkeeper Steve Mandanda and Paris striker SG Kylian Mbappé had also tested positive for the new coronavirus.

The list of 24 players includes Adrien Rabiot, returned to the Blues in September after two years of absence, and Aouar, the 22-year-old Lyon midfielder who should finally be able to honor a first cape.

In attack, the essential Antoine Griezmann, Mbappé and Olivier Giroud are present, like the Monegasque Wissam Ben Yedder and Anthony Martial, in sight last month.

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman is back, as are club partners Benjamin Pavard in defense and Corentin Tolisso in the middle, all out in September with minor injuries.
