On Monday, SVT Nyheter reported that one of the eight people charged with involvement in the high-profile theft of two military vehicles in Enköping in February is a known reality soap participant.

The participant was noticed in several media after being prosecuted.

Now the person himself goes out and tells about what happened in a Youtube video.

- My indictment is based on the fact that on one occasion I was out in the woods and went in one of these vehicles, the participant in the video says.

"Tough cars"

The participant is charged with aggravated unlawful use for having ridden in one of the stolen vehicles.

- Two acquaintances asked me and my friend if we wanted to go out into the woods and check out some tough cars, the participant says and continues:

- When we get there and see that it is a military vehicle, my first thought is not - oh, they have stolen these from the Armed Forces - no that is probably the last thing I would think.

I think there are some old renovated off-road vehicles.

"Can access their equipment with a pair of pliers"

The man claims that he did not know that the vehicles were stolen and that he should therefore not be convicted of having ridden in one of them.

He also gives the Armed Forces a boot.

- Their task is to protect this country.

But you can access their equipment with the help of a pair of pliers, he says.

"Type zero interference"

The docu-soap participant also claims that he had nothing to do with the theft of the vehicles.

- Now you know how much involvement I have in this, like zero, he concludes.
