An American journalist and lawyer criticized President Donald Trump's performance in his first televised debate on Tuesday evening with Joe Biden, his rival for the presidency in the elections scheduled for November 3.

Jennifer Robin - a journalist and columnist - stated that Biden entered the debate firmly ahead in opinion polls, even in states where conflict rages between the two competitors, and sees Trump blowing up the debate and ruining himself.

She advised Trump to make a radical change to his election campaign if he wanted to win the presidential race, at a time when more states were witnessing early voting and mailing of ballots.

In her article

in the Washington Post, the

author

noted

that Trump did not do any of that without reducing the difference between him and Biden, or perhaps making the difference wider.

Greater than Trump's capabilities

When asked about his actual history and policy, Trump did not find it seemed to launch "a mixture of discordant and ambiguous words and phrases, and making lewd accusations, which convinced the kind viewer that the matter is greater than his capabilities."

Robin said Trump has repeatedly boycotted Biden, accusing him of harboring more radical positions than those candidates who contested him in the Democratic primary.

Unfortunately, however, the director of the debate, Chris Wallace - a broadcaster from the US "Fox News" network (FOX NEWS) - was never able to control Trump, which referred the debate to controversies punctuated by continuous boycotts by the two opponents.

Trump argued with Wallace, who accused him of lacking a comprehensive healthcare plan.

In turn, Trump stressed that he had lowered drug prices, and Jennifer Robin commented by saying that it had not happened.

We called him demented and weak

The strange thing - in the writer's opinion - is that prior to the debate, activists within the Republican Party and conservative critics deliberately degraded Biden's competence, calling him "senile and weak."

But on the other hand, Biden dealt a "fatal blow" to Trump for answering a question about the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).

Biden sought to link Trump directly with the pandemic, which has claimed more than 200,000 lives in the United States, the country with the most recorded deaths from the pandemic in the whole world.

In her article, Jennifer Robin considered that Biden was more convincing when he accused Trump of "pouring oil" on the fire of violence and racism in the United States.

Trump evaded and eluded

Debate director Chris Wallace challenged President Trump to condemn white militias and white supremacists, but he "evaded and eluded."

Before the debate ended, Biden accused his opponent, Trump, of being a "puppy" of Russian President Vladimir Putin and of evading criticism of Russia for paying rewards for killing American soldiers in Afghanistan.

On the phenomenon of climate change, Trump refused to provide a "tight" answer to explain his efforts to reduce measures related to the quantities of fuel consumed for a certain distance, as well as to cancel the health care program (Obama Care) that was developed by his predecessor Barack Obama.

The writer pointed out that Chris Wallace, who promised that his role would be hidden in the debate, could not control the debate, which led to chaos that made it impossible for the viewer to follow it at times.

Strategy of malice and aggression

She said Wallace should have stopped the debate, or turned off the speakerphone, for Trump to abide by the rules.

She added that Trump intended during the debate to pursue a strategy of "malice and aggression" in order to avoid answering questions and defend his record.

According to the Washington Post article, Biden remained "calm and calm" during the debate, and showed his cognitive abilities and some of his nature, which puts him ahead of Trump in the elections.
