For its part, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai told "Emirates Today" that these fees are only for the "distinguished" parking lot, and are not applied to the rest of the parking lots in the area, citing its proximity to the entrances to the intended buildings, which makes raising the fees necessary to increase the rate of turnover in use These parking lots, in order to make room for the largest possible number of drivers to take advantage of them.

She emphasized that, according to its agreement with the Dubai Multi Commodities Center, it is organizing the 2,200 parking spaces for visitors only, with the aim of regulating traffic and using the parking spaces in the ideal manner required in the region, and ensuring that the public has access to vacant parking lots by increasing the turnover of vehicles and preventing congestion.

The authority pointed out that the JLT area has a commercial, residential and hotel activity, and that the Dubai Multi Commodities Center provides private parking for the residents of the area, while the authority provides parking for visitors according to a studied tariff divided into three categories: First (I) for the privileged parking, which has a tariff of 10. Dirhams for an hour, and the maximum stay is three hours, and you can return to it after a minimum of two hours.

The second category (J) includes the side and upper parking for complexes, and the price is four dirhams per hour, and the maximum parking is three hours, and can be returned to it after two hours as a minimum, while the third category is referred to by the symbol (K), especially for the parking spaces between the complexes and squares, and the tariff is Four dirhams an hour, and 32 dirhams for 24 hours.

According to the authority, there are no seasonal permits for this area, as parking spaces are available for residents within the complexes, while a number of free parking spaces have been provided for people of determination, and senior citizens over 60 years of age also benefit from free parking service.

It is noteworthy that users of paid parking in the region can pay their fees through smart payment methods, which include SMS messages and the authority's smart application, according to specific categories and fees for each region.
