Politicians who spoke to Al Jazeera Net emphasized that the policy of positive neutrality, moving away from alliances, working to heal the rift and working to spread peace in the Arab world, regionally and internationally, was the most important feature of his rule, in addition to his upholding the principles of democracy and his keenness on freedom of opinion and expression.

A professor of political science at Kuwait University, Dr. Ghanem Al-Najjar, said that the deceased spent the longest period on the global level as Minister of Foreign Affairs, which focused most of his attention on his country's foreign policy, which was based on the principle of positive neutrality, moving away from differences and victory for the Palestinian cause and pushing towards helping poor peoples to achieve development in them.

Al-Najjar added to Al-Jazeera Net that Kuwait was the first country in this context to put forward the idea of ​​establishing a fund for economic development as an economic arm for it to assist in development and support poor peoples.

He explained that the late had a prominent role since the sixties of the last century at the level of healing Arab differences, which was demonstrated through the role of Kuwait in establishing and reuniting the United Arab Emirates, as well as the serious work during the invasion of Israel in Lebanon, and during the civil war in Yemen, up to His efforts to heal the Gulf rift during the recent crisis, which embodied his love for peace and his eagerness to reject militancy and disagreement.

In turn, the former Minister of Works Dr. Ali Al-Omair said that Sheikh Sabah was the man of the stage who managed to cross Kuwait in recent years, which witnessed multiple and complex regional and global events, the most prominent of which was what the region went through during the Arab Spring, and what Kuwait specifically witnessed during that period of events proved He dealt with his wisdom, sophistication, and foresight.

Al-Omair added to Al-Jazeera Net that this wisdom enabled him to maintain the stability of the country during this difficult period, indicating his keenness on freedom of speech, opinion and expression, and his assertion that his people are free, provided that this is not at the expense of violating the law.

He referred to several meetings he had with the late Emir during his membership in the National Assembly as well as the Council of Ministers, during which the late affirmed the right of MPs to use all constitutional tools, including interrogation, taking into account the country's higher interests.

The former minister pointed out that during the reign of Sheikh Sabah, Kuwait was able to occupy a prominent position at the level of humanitarian issues, which was translated into its selection of a humanitarian center, as well as the selection of His Highness as a leader of humanitarian work.

For his part, former Oil Minister Issa Al-Mazidi affirmed that Sheikh Sabah was an exceptional figure who enjoyed the love of everyone, not only at the level of the Kuwaiti people, but also at the level of the Gulf peoples and the world as well.

He added that Kuwait during his reign had clear fingerprints in dealing with the various events that the region is going through, which earned him the respect of world leaders.

Al-Mazidi stated that he was the late Zamil, whether during his membership in the National Assembly or after his selection as Minister of Oil, and the most prominent feature of him was his seriousness in dealing with all the problems facing him and his eagerness to solve them by reconciling the different points of view.

For his part, former Oil Minister Hani Hussein stated that Sheikh Sabah was the dean of Kuwaiti and international diplomacy, which earned him great experience in working to solve Gulf and Arab problems and disputes.

He explained that the policy that he set made him respected and appreciated by all parties, whether for his great experience or for his stances, so he was the owner of an audible word, which enabled him to play a major role in containing the Gulf crisis and preventing its escalation.

The former Minister of Planning, Ali Al-Mousa, said that the deceased is one of the builders of the renaissance of Kuwait, and he is rightly the architect of Kuwaiti foreign policy for 50 years and has a visionary focus on openness to the world and the Arab orientation.

He pointed out that these Arab stances were proven by the repeated events, the most recent of which was the incident at the Port of Lebanon, where Kuwait hastened to announce that it would bear the cost of building the silos that were damaged as a result of it, as well as providing a bridge of aid for days.

He added that the personality of Sabah Al-Ahmad, the leader and the human being is difficult to compensate, and he is one of the rulers who made good relations for Kuwait with all parties thanks to his wisdom and experience in foreign affairs, so his death is considered an irreparable loss, but it is God's judgment and destiny.

Former Municipal Minister Musa Al-Sarraf said only that the death of the late Emir is an irreparable loss that cannot express the size of the loss associated with it, indicating that the deceased had great experience in all fields.

He explained that he and many of his fellow ministers were keen to visit him before any foreign business trip, and during those visits the directives came from a father to his children and not from a prince of ministers in his government.

In turn, the former Minister of Works, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutawa, said that with the death of Sheikh Sabah, Kuwait lost an international and humanitarian stature and a global symbol in the field of political, diplomatic and humanitarian work that extends for more than half a century.

He mentioned that the late was distinguished for being the owner of international initiatives in healing rift and resolving disputes between countries, especially between brothers, in addition to his role in championing the Palestinian cause and the vulnerable and his honorable stances towards various Arab and Islamic issues, which culminated in his obtaining the title of a humanitarian leader from the United Nations as a man of peace.
