Since the restraining order was introduced this spring, the municipality of Askersund has closed two homes and instead merged them into a new one.
The residents have since moved to the new care and nursing home Smedsgården.
The reason for waiting to allow visits is that the new accommodation means a new environment that relatives do not know and find in.
- We will work with this and try to make sure that we can receive visits as soon as possible.
But at the same time, we must have everything in place.
We had an outbreak at our accommodation here in May, that is what we absolutely want to avoid, says Maria Ståhl, who is social manager.
The municipality's other accommodation Borgmästargården will also not be open for visits on 1 October.
But they hope to be ready next week, says Maria Ståhl.
