The American Wall Street Journal quoted a diplomat at the United Nations as saying that the UAE had increased shipments of weapons and military supplies to retired Major General Khalifa Haftar, in order to save his military campaign in Libya.

According to the diplomat, who has seen a confidential report of the expert committee of the sanctions committee for Libya, the UAE has violated the arms embargo and has stepped up military support for Haftar to contain Turkish influence in the country as well.

The American newspaper stated that the UAE Air Force sent between January and April last about 150 flights that UN experts believe carry ammunition and defense systems, in addition to dozens of flights during the summer using a US military transport plane, "C-17" (C-). 17) that lasted even after the failure of Haftar's attack on Tripoli.

According to the newspaper, the UAE is also accused of using ships to transport aviation fuel to Libya for military purposes, in violation of the arms embargo.
