A Japanese Foreign Ministry official said that in order for Prime Minister Suga to visit Korea, South Korea must promise not to sell Japanese corporate assets in connection with a lawsuit for forced mobilization, Kyodo News reported.

The executive told reporters in his country that it would not make sense for Prime Minister Suga to visit Korea, as it is not strange when Japanese corporate assets become cash.

This executive expressed the thought that Suga would not attend the Seoul-China-Japan summit in Seoul within this year without the South Korean government's commitment not to monetize Japanese corporate assets seized by the Korean court.
