The pyramid-like gravel ridges rise stately in the Gröndal Delta, about 13 kilometers from Vålådalen.

You must not be on the Pyramids or in the surrounding slopes, either on foot or otherwise:

- The reason is that the ground on the ridge where the pyramids are located has been exposed to an unsustainable amount of wear, a wear that endangers the shape and vegetation of the ridge, says Wictoria Wadman, nature conservation officer at the County Administrative Board.

At least 50 years for recovery

The recovery of vegetation on the ground is very slow and according to the County Administrative Board it will take at least 50 years.

From a geological point of view, the Pyramids are one of the most interesting places in the mountain world.

Here you can see clear traces of the progress of the ice age, among other things through springs, erosion valleys and dead ice pits.
