September 30, 2020 6.6 million (6,606,696) people have downloaded the Immuni app, 17% of smartphones in Italy, a percentage from which children under 14 are excluded.

From mid-October the Italian app will be among the first 'interoperable' at European level and will be connected with the Irish and German ones.

The system is called Gateway, and does not require the installation of a new app by users, who when they go abroad will be able to send or receive reports in case of contagion or contacts with infected people, as already happens in national territories.

In the EU, 15 countries have adopted or are about to adopt a tracking app: these are Italy, Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Malta, Holland, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic.

Three other countries (Belgium, Cyprus and Lithuania) will join in the coming days.

The average of downloads is 10%.

The European Commission invites them to increase them, guaranteeing the protection of personal data and remembering that even one more download can have a great impact in terms of traceability of infections and response to the virus

From 1 June, 299 positive users had Immuni and who uploaded their keys to the backend (21 in June, 38 in July and 96 in August, and 144 in the first 24 days of September).

Notifications, which have been registered since 13 July, have so far been 4,490 (1,109, equal to 24% of the total, in the last 10 days alone).

Ten positive cases received the alert notification from Immuni having been close contacts of another positive user, who had Immuni.

All potential outbreaks that have been contained thanks to the app.
