When Erfan arrived in Sweden on 24 November 2015, many people were waiting at the Swedish Migration Board's office in Malmö.

He was therefore advised to go on to Stockholm by informants on site - to register there.

As a result, he was not registered until November 25, a day too late to be covered by the Upper Secondary School Act.

- If I had known, I would have waited there, says Erfan.

Instead, he went underground and has lived hidden in Stockholm for three years to avoid deportation.

Erfan has Afghan citizenship, but was born and raised in Iran as undocumented.

He himself says that he has never been to Afghanistan, where the Swedish Migration Board now wants to deport him.

Next year, he hopes to get another chance to seek asylum in Sweden.
